Service-learning: Active methodology at the university

Abstract

New teaching and  learning procedures for Higher Education provide a more effective understanding of the theoretical content associated with practice. Among these procedures are active methodologies, in which the  student moves from a mere consumer of information to the protagonist of his own learning. Service-learning is one such methodology.
