Resumen

In a global context in which an aging population is observed and an increase in chronic degenerative diseases, such as cancer, it is reasonable to increasingly discuss alternative methods, such as the subcutaneous route (SC), for the administration of medications and rehydration solutions when parenteral and oral routes are restricted or associated with contraindication for invasive procedures.
