Chemistry is very present in our daily lives, however, the lack of basic knowledge on the part of students entering higher education courses becomes evident, with difficulties in adapting to the study routine and the scientific approach present in the university environment. In this way, the PET-Chemistry Program of the Federal University of Campina Grande started the Leveling Course in Basic Chemistry, for students entering the Chemistry Degree course. The project emerged as a strategic response to combat dropout from the institution's Chemistry Degree course, providing a solid foundation for students who faced difficulties in this subject. The project took place through face-to-face classes and innovative didactic resources to make the teaching process more dynamic and attractive. Students were able to ask questions, participate in hands-on activities, and develop a deeper understanding of the fundamental principles of chemistry.
