Abstract

In Brazil there are several public policies aimed at women's health, especially for pregnant women. Physiological transformations can generate pathological processes, putting the life of the mother and fetus at risk. The denomination High Risk Pregnancy is broad and refers to all the situations that can interfere in the normal process of a pregnancy. Knowing the profile of this high-risk pregnant woman can facilitate the development of actions and public health policies that can minimize the high rates of high-risk pregnancies and maternal and perinatal mortality.
