Abstract

Delen and Zolbanin (2018), when dealing with the availability of increasing amounts of informational data, highlight the emergence of new problems that cannot be effectively addressed through traditional methods of statistical analysis. This is because Shmueli and Koppius (2011) observe that studies in these disciplines have used causal statistical-explanatory modeling and statistical inference to test causal hypotheses and the evaluation of the explanatory power of the underlying causal models. While these prevalent models and problem-solving paradigms have generated significant visions in recent decades, they have prevented researchers from working on emerging business problems.
