The importance of studies on the mitigation of environmental impacts in the santos basin region: focus on pre-salt oil and natural gas activities

Abstract

After the discovery of pre-salt and the beginning of oil extraction in the coastal region of Brazil,
many studies are being developed on this subject, mainly focusing on the exploration and production
activities of oil and natural gas. However, in addition to studies on the technology used to extract oil from
the pre-salt region, studies are also being conducted on the impacts that this activity will have. This project
aims toshow the importance of studies on the reduction of environmental impacts.
