Abstract

The importance of plants is unseen by people, through research or only by their own knowledge.
Natives used and still use the plants for various daily activities, such as therapeutic activity (PAULA,
2006), treatment of diseases and complementary feeding (CATARINA, 2015). At the beginning of its
exploration, when no phytochemical knowledge about plants was known, its pharmacological activity
was related through the similarity between it and some anatomical part of the human body. Thus, studies
and deductions about plants began at a time when the conditions for such a study were minimal.
